My dad had a stroke on 4/17 & did not recover. About 300 people attended his funeral yesterday. We take comfort in that he was able to meet his newest grandchild, Blake, and that he got to spend some time with family & friends recently. DaveWarmund

So sorry to hear that Dr. passed away. He certainly was well known and liked by all. He is a cornerstone of Howard Beach. I was born in HB in 1946 and lived there most of my life, now live in FL

Dear Dave: I am so sorry to hear about your Dad. Actually I had heard it from Scott Beloton. I hope that the rest of your family is doing well. I also heard that your brother is also a chiro in Fla. Say hi to Andy for me and Congats on the new baby! sincerely, Bonnie S. Glassman D.C.

My family and I were very sorry to hear about Dr. Warmund. He was a good doctor and a good man. I've been in Miami for 7 years and haven't found a doctor like Dr. Warmund yet. You should know that he is fondly remembered. Dale Jacobs

Just found this forum. Really sorry to hear about your dad. As others have said, he was a real pillar of the community when I was growing up in the '50s & '60s. You couldn't miss his office on the way to the A&P. He will be missed. Ira Stoller

I am so sorry to hear about your Dad. He was an amazing man a truly stayed the "small town Doctor". When I was running a high fever, as a child, he didn't want my mother to take me in a cab to get to the office. He came to my house after he closed the office! I still tell the story to friends. God bless you and your family, your dad was the best, Howie

Your post was entered 4 years ago, so I don't know if you'll see this. I remember your dad, he made a couple of house calls (forgotten practice) to our home. I still remember a speech he had given to the Queens AMA about abortion that was republished and distributed at mass at OLG in the early 1960's. If the good memories a person leaves behind are their greatest memorial your dad is in very good shape. God rest his soul.

I am so sorry to hear about your dad. Actually, I saw your brother Robert in Fla. at MY dad's funeral 3 yrs. ago today, 1/9.  I lived across the street from you in the house with the white marble stairs.  My brother's name was Mitch and I had a younger brother, Spencer and I am Eileen.  You know,  now your dad and both my parents are watching over us. Yeah, mom died 10/15/06.  She had alzheimer's for many years. Dad had heart problems, kidney problems and was getting dimentia.  God bless you and yours.  Feel free to email anytime at: eileen601gemini@yahoo.com
