| I'm from HB and just like the pizza, you also can't find an intelligent single nice man in Florida. If you're interested in meeting a very real lady 5'8", redhead, who is in "GREAT" shape and takes care of herself...write a message. I'm in Margate, a very nice golf community on the 17th hole and I have the golf balls through my windows to prove it....oh my! That's one of the downfalls of living in luxury. Don't smoke or do drugs and no std's. Come on and take a chance. Maybe we can start a "singles HB group" and meet old friends. Ya'll take care now. (Please someone answer this topic.) :-) |

| Where are you? In Oriole Golf and Tennis? I used to live in Margage, FL. Have relatives there now. I'm a 60 year old married female. Just writing to tell you that I thought your idea of getting together with some old friends from HB was a cute way to meet people and maybe some singles! Good Idea. Hey, if they were born in Howard Beach, how bad could they be? |

| Lovely, Unfortunately in Oriole Golf & T phases 1. Hate it. 12 bldgs. not under 1 umbrella. Diff maintenance for each bldg. and my bldg. is the most expensive. Also too too many canadians. Don't like them at all!!!!!! I wish they wouldn't even let them into Florida. I'm 52 my twin brother is 53 (it's a joke). I'll never be as old as him. My main reason to create this forum is to maybe find a "normal" (if there is) man who is single with intelligence. The men in FL are wierd. HB would be a great change. Thanks for being the 1st to respond. I hope more people would like to meet. Do you get to the beach at all. I started going to Oakland park beach. GORGEOUS turquoise water and free parking. Mostly couples and families. So no luck meeting anyone there. Write again if you'd like. Thanks. Idee Lynn |

I'm sure that you will find some nice people. You have to go to Deerfield Beach, not Oakland Park. Get out of that area. Don't go further south when you go out, go north. If you're from HB, you will like Palm Beach county better than Broward. The last place I lived in was Boca Raton and I liked it very much. Yes, people are different in FL but you'll get used to them. They stay more to themselves, you have to be the aggresive one and you will also have to decide if you want to be country or rock 'n' roll. There are two different types of guys there. You'll find your nitch after a while. |

| GADZOOKS! I'm neither rock n roll or country. I'm Jazz all the way. I moved to FL Palm Beach County in 1989 and really didn't like the element. Moved to Broward 6 years ago and like it much better except for where I'm living (canadians ughhh!). Like the ocean farther south cause it's bluer and near some great shoppes. The men, meanwhile, are only after the SeX. I was told that I'll never get a 2nd date if I don't vo-de-oh-doe on the 1st date. I'm too true to myself and spiritual to do that sort of thing. Men speak of sex first thing and I get off the subject cause it's way too much info on the 1st date. They tell me that I should use it or lose it. That no man will go 3 dates without getting it. I firmly believe that G-d will send the right man and I'm willing to wait. If no man, than he's got something else in mind for me.

| Didn't think of jazz because I don't like it but yes there are jazz clubs too! I agree with you about the guys, don't worry about it. If you just be yourself, you'll meet someone nice but what I meant was that you may have to be a little outgoing and talkative with them. I didn't mean to get too close on the first date or anytime soon after that. It's true in any neighborhood that men would like things to move very quickly in the sex department but you just have to keep them at bay. So, you like Broward better than Palm Beach county? I'm surprised, coming from HB. In Palm Beach the people are snootier but a better class of people, just the same. Broward, I find is not as clean. I know they take care of the grounds where you live but the surrounding neighborhood is not that good. Margate was good about 27 years ago but it has changed a lot. Coral Springs also was so nice then but now has changed so much. |
