returned after 30 yrs
before i start my posting was wondering if anyone remembers a guy named richard tischler who was a lifeguard at the lindenwood pool in the late 60's? last i heard , he moved to l.a. if anyone knows how to reach him please let me know! NOW ON WITH MY MESSAGE!!!it was long overdue but i got to go back to h.b last april for the first time in 30 yrs and will cherish the visit forever. i lived on 84th st from around 1963 -1971 before moving to richmond va.i hadnt been back to n.y but once in 26 yrs and that was my dream come true to see the reunion of cream. not enought time to get to h.b them but made another trip last year just to go there.it still looks great. found it strange not to see the pool across from ps232,but other than that i walked and walked from getting off of the airtrain at c.b blvd down through rockwood park remembering the carnival by the underpass, walked a little on the bike path, then to walbaums.everyone was just as friendly as they were when i left.the hardest part of the walk was trying to remember how the heck to find the street that allows u to get out and cross over the blvd.it was great for the soul.i would love to try to post some of the pictures for those who havent had the chance to go back. that is m next mission. peace to u all Edited by - bertamae59 on May 10 2007 11:04:42 AM
