| That's really great! HB is definitely a place that you can live in for all of your life. Few who are born there, really want to leave. |

| Maloclusion, since you have seen every change in HB, What would you say is the most dramatic change? People? Buildings? Crime? Look forward to reading your reply. |

| Well SMA... There was no Rockwood Park or Lindenwood. Just the original Howard Beach which is now considered old Howard. And there was Cherry forest. It has just been so built up. The only Catholic Church was Our Lady of Grace which I graduated from. There was no crime at all which I think we are still pretty lucky that it is still a good neighborhood. The train station was completely different. You could walk right up to the train from the sidewalk. And of course the stores on the original side were all different. |

| Maloclusion, I remember a small store in Hamilton, close to the Fire Dept, I noticed on Aug, 02 It was gone. When did it close down? I also noticed all the new housing being built, how much are they going for?? |

The build up of crossbay killed the beach...there is crime now that never existed before, and the neighbors all changed and is nothing like it used to be. |

| SMA...Not only was there a deli in Hamilton Beach but when I would come down to this area years ago there was a candy store, dry cleaners and fruit and veg stand. The new houses are going for around $600.000. Shocking huh?? |

| WOW, sure wish I had owned some of those vacant lots. It amazes me how much the propertys are worth now. Then again, the location is convenient, & mass transit is close. Thank you for your input. |

| malo,
Not too shocking, housing has gone up a lot everywhere and the convenience is very good in that area. People want to be able to get to where it's happening but yet still live in a fairly quiet place, which makes Howard and Hamilton perfect! |
