Howard Park General Hospital
Does anyone remember Howard Park General Hospital on Crossbay? I know it's something else now but it was once a private hospital. I worked there as a dietitian's aid one summer in the 60's. Did anyone else work there?

Indeed I remember it well. Can you recall the reason for its demise? I believe it had to do with "insurance fraud". It closed for several years, only to reopen as a drug rehab and the neighbors were none too happy about it. After a few years, it too closed. It (re) reopened again as the Fineson Home. Not sure about the spelling.

I remember the hospital, it was another one of the events (like Waldbaum's opening) that seemed to indicate HB had entered a new era. Edited by - JohnnyD1220 on April 15 2005 07:14:41 AM

I was born in that Hospital in 1964 and from what I understand I was one of the last kids born there. Rob

I remember it well. My mom had to rush me to the ER, after my finger was slammed in a gate.
