Do any of the old-timers out there remember "The Militia?" Kids dressed in Navy uniforms who used to take part in patriotic parades in the '50s and early '60s. If anyone remembers, could you please share some information? Who organized it? Who were the members? Where did they meet? etc.

I remeber the militia well, my brother Bob and I were both members. We wore sailor blues, but removed one white stripe from the collar, sleeves etc. Never knew who exactly organized it, but they were from Rockwood Park. I believe that it broke up over a dispute between two groups of parents while I was in H.S.

I graduated OLG with Jerry in the class of '66. He was in one eigth grade class and I was in the other. I didn't realize he had another brother. It's good to "meet" you.
