Re: The Big Bow Wow

I've been out of Queens for 32 years now, and heard it closed, but have no idea why.

I was a customer there on the day it opened...it was a great place with great food., and I went there on a pretty regular basis until I moved away in 1976.

It's too bad it's closed.

Re: The Big Bow Wow

The nice thing about the Bow Wow was the variety of food that they sold.   My parents took us there often when we were kids and who would have ; hot dogs, hamburgers, corn on cob, fresh shucked clams on the half shell, soup, pizza, etc. ....it seemed to go on and on........and when we were finished we would go next door to Carvel's.....it was great ...

Re: The Big Bow Wow

Bow Wow had quite a bit to choose from. My parents would take us there for breakfast weekends, mostly so they could have quiet time while we hit the arcades. My firends & I would bike there many days during the summer well into the 80s. I assume it closed for the real estate.
