Hello to old neighbors:  I'm Dee and I grew up in new HB from about 1966-1981.  I'm living in Michigan now and working on my Master's (finally).  I'm working on a community research paper where I look back at the community in which I grew up, Howard Beach.  Anyone out there want to share a story?  If so, please e-mail me at bdrk@aol.com.  Specifically, I'm looking for stories about how the old neighborhood has changed.  For example, I remember walking home from St. Helens for lunch everyday.  They tell me that today the kids aren't allowed out for lunch.... Little things, big things, anything you want to share!  Also, any comments on HB's rep are welcome.
